The Benton High School Student Chamber is an exciting and engaging group of students. While learning about philanthropy, these students participate in a wide range of civic minded activities that give back to their local community.
In 2020, we attended the BCHS Senior Awards Night at Benton Community High School. Samantha VanHorn was presented with a $1500 Scholarship by Board President Steven Pate. The Chamber is proud to support our local High School Students to achieve their goals and fulfill their dreams.
Each year, the Benton / West City Area Chamber of Commerce funds a $1500 scholarship for qualifying students to make their post-high school dreams a reality. It is funded through sponsorship efforts and AGE's Central & Southern Illinois Chamber of Commerce Electricity & Natural Gas Buying Group, and the Benton Chamber/Rotary Golf Scramble.
